This month’s podcast turns to the topic of women and money. I’m tickled pink to have as my guest Stacy Francis of Francis Financial. I first met Stacy in 2003 at a coach training weekend and we instantly hit it off, clamoring for the chance to have lunch together and chat. I was drawn to her passion for being a top notch businesswoman who really “gets it” when it comes to the importance of advising the whole person when the topic is money. She’s savvy and a truly authentic and genuine person.
Let me give you some background on her so you can get a sense of the immense level of expertise she has and how blessed you’ll be to listen to this podcast. Stacy is a certified financial planner, a nationally recognized media expert, speaker and author of the upcoming book The New Formula for Financial Success: Bounce Back and Gain Control Over Your Financial Future! Her firm, Francis Financial, Inc. is an independent, fee-only firm that provides comprehensive financial planning services. Stacy is also the founder of Savvy Ladies, a 20,000-plus non-profit educational organization established to empower women to take control of their finances and achieve more rich and rewarding lives. As a nationally recognized expert on finance, Stacy appears regularly on CNBC, CNN, Nightly Business Report, NPR, Oprah and Friends and The Today Show and has been quoted in over 100 publications such as Business Week, CNN, Dow Jones, Entrepreneur, Forbes, Glamour, Investment News, Money Magazine, MSN, Newsweek, New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, USA Today and Women’s Day. Stacy is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®), a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst (CDFA™) and has completed specialized training in the financial issues of divorce. In addition, Stacy is a professor for the New York University School of Finance, Law and Taxation. Stacy is a dynamic speaker who has taught hundreds of classes and has shared the platform with some of the top speakers in the country including Suze Orman and Jean Chatzsky.
While her bio is certainly impressive, the reality is Stacy is down-to-earth and she didn’t just wake up one day and become an expert. Like you and me she has experienced very fundamental financial challenges, a big learning curve that comes with adulthood because no one ever teaches you about money in school, and has witnessed first-hand the fear, pain, and regret that can happen when loved ones are not empowered financially.
If you’ve ever worried about money, been fearful about money, wanted to know more about how to achieve financial success, felt powerless or held hostage by money, or even if you are wildly successful and want to take it up a notch personally and professionally, this podcast is for you.
